Description
The Crooks and Castles tie-dye panel hoodie starts with a navy and white cloud dye, the soft, blotchy kind where dark patches drift into white without hard lines. Across the chest sit two solid black panels: Crooks in script on the upper one, Castles in block capitals on the lower one, and a black and white Medusa emblem set between them. A thin line of small text runs under the bottom panel. It is a graphic that mixes two things Crooks and Castles fans already know well, the Medusa and the split wordmark, and puts them on a dyed body instead of a solid one. One flat shot and one shot on a model show how the dye spreads across the body, the hood and both sleeves. Fit, fabric and wash notes for the navy tie-dye pullover with black panels follow below.
Navy and White Cloud Dye
Cloud tie-dye leaves irregular patches rather than spirals or stripes. On this hoodie the navy gathers in darker clusters, with plenty of white showing between them, so the overall effect is more marble than rainbow. The sleeves and hood carry the same dye as the body.
Two Black Panels Around a Medusa
The black panels act as a calm base for the lettering, so the words stay readable on top of a busy background. The Medusa emblem in the middle breaks the line between them and ties the two words together. A short-sleeve version of this layout is the tie-dye panel tee, cut from the same navy cloud dye.
How to Wear It
Wearing It as a Matching Set
The model photo shows the hoodie worn with matching navy tie-dye joggers, which is the easiest way to style it if you like a head-to-toe look. Those joggers come with the hoodie in the full navy tie-dye tracksuit, and they carry a smaller version of the panel print on one thigh.
Calming Down a Busy Pattern
To wear it on its own, pair it with solid black or white pants and let the hoodie be the only pattern. Plain black or white sneakers keep the outfit grounded. In summer, the gray tie-dye basketball tee carries a similar cloud dye in gray and navy, with a much busier graphic.
Fit and Features
Fit and Fabric Under the Dye
The hoodie is a regular-fit pullover with ribbed cuffs and hem, and it sits at the hips on the model. Choose your usual size from S to XXL, or go one up for extra room. The fabric is a brushed-back fleece of around 80% cotton and 20% polyester, at roughly 480 GSM, heavy enough for fall and winter, and a good outer layer on cool spring days.
Black Panels Without the Dye
If tie-dye is not your thing but the panel layout is, the solid black version of the panel tee uses white panels on a plain black body instead.
Materials and Care
Washing Tie-Dye Without Fading
Dyed fleece can shed a little color in its first few washes, so wash this hoodie inside out in cold water, either alone or with dark colors. Keep it away from plain whites. Skip the dryer and let it air dry out of direct sun, which also protects the black panels from fading to gray. If it needs pressing, use a low iron from the inside only. Read how to wash dyed fleece for more general tips.
