Crooks and Castles Leaf Print Bucket Hat White
Green Leaves on a White Crown
The Crooks and Castles bucket hat trades lettering for a garden: large green leaves cover the white crown and brim, with clusters of small dark fruit tucked in between them. The leaves are drawn at different angles and sizes, so the pattern never lines up into stripes and looks loose and natural from every side. It is one of the few Crooks and Castles pieces where the brand name steps back. All you get is a small black woven label marked CROOKS, sewn onto the band just above the brim. The white ground keeps the greens bright and stops the print from feeling heavy on a warm day, even with so much going on. Every angle is covered on the white leaf print bucket hat photo.
Rows of Stitching on the Brim
The brim is stitched in close, even rows that run all the way around it. That stitching stiffens the edge, so the brim holds its slope instead of flopping over your eyes.
Fabric
Cotton Twill and How It Wears
The hat is made from 100% cotton twill, a tight diagonal weave that feels smooth and dry against the forehead. Twill is sturdier than a plain cotton weave, so it shrugs off being folded into a bag or stuffed into a back pocket and bounces back after a quick shake. Cotton also lets air pass through, which matters on a hat you will wear in the sun.
A Summer Hat First
This is a spring and summer piece: beach days, outdoor festivals, park afternoons and holidays somewhere hot. The downward brim shades your eyes and the back of your neck, and the light ground does not soak up heat the way a black hat does.
Fit and Features
Fit and Head Size
A bucket hat has a soft, unstructured crown that settles onto your head rather than standing up like a cap. To choose a size, wrap a tape around your head just above the ears and across the forehead, and wear it slightly back if you like to see more of the print.
How to Wear It
What to Wear It With
Palm trees and greenery already turn up in other prints in the range. The gray tie-dye tee with palm trees carries small palms beside a pink hoop, a loose match for the leaves on the hat.
A white bottom half picks up the hat's ground color. The white fleece shorts with the Fairfax print keep things light and summery, with a single black graphic that does not compete with the leaves.
For contrast, go dark on top. The black tee with one small chain badge is almost blank, which leaves the hat as the busiest thing in the outfit.
Tie-Dye and Florals Together
If you enjoy mixing patterns, the navy tie-dye Medusa panel tee sets cloudy navy against the hat's crisp greens; keep the shorts plain so the two prints have room.
Cleaning a White Cotton Hat
Hand wash in cold water with a little mild detergent and no bleach, since bleach can lift the green from the leaves. Press out the water gently, reshape the crown and brim by hand, then let it air dry. Keep it out of the dryer, which can shrink cotton twill and warp the stitched brim.
